Canon SD780

I just bought the new Canon SD780IS camera. It's about the size of a pack of playing cards, but offers 12MP and 720P HD video. I'm hoping the convenience of this compact camera will awaken the photographer in me. Lately I've been neglecting my hobby and the thought of packing up and carrying 20lbs of gear around doesn't motivate me.

I'm hoping the SD780 will bridge the gap between the convenience but low quality of my iPhone, and the inconvenience but high quality of my 5D. I'm not expecting any masterpieces from a $300 all-in-one, but let's see what happens.

Yeah, I've been super busy at the office plus sick family at home so I haven't been online at all. Things are slowing down now, so hopefully I can take my new 5D for a spin :-)
